Valentine's Day

Anticipating the intensity of Valentine's Day, the long hours, the hunger, the fatigue, we assuage our
anxiety by coming up with decorating projects that will keep us amused during the melee.

This year, we're busily making these.  We have ideas for them.  It's going to be lovely!

The big red light heart is being installed in the front of the shop, the painted wooden cupid unwrapped,
vases being ordered and we're putting up new curtains.  And except for the lit heart, it will all stay up through Mother's Day because who doesn't love hot pink? (o.k. o.k. SOMEBODY I'm sure hates pink).

What do you mean, the hunger? Don't you have a gigantic box of chocolates kept behind the scenes for precisely such times? Just sayin'.....

Good point, Rachel... the girls indulge. I always forget to eat. My previous assistant usually sends a box of her espresso/chocolate cookies - these keep the wind in some sails, but I'm hopeless on caffeine without a proper meal!

I so love the beginning of the pink season!

I guess you'll need to put my pink table into action. That's okay. Just be gentle.

I am not allowed to go longer that 3 hours without food.

Once I "forgot" and I accidentally ate some sheet moss.

I have never heard the end of it. And why should I really.

We stockpile cheese sticks, clementines, nuts, apples, peanut butter, pretzel sticks and jugs of water.

The things we can control huh?

Webb..right? It only gets better from here!

Pink table front and center, Steve. Will handle with care.

Ok Jane... I get the picture. Available snacks will be purchased. Guess I'm a bit stoic, but rachel's box of chocolates and munchies will be offered! I'm giving the two of you full credit!
