catch as catch can

This was a beautiful wedding at The Castle in Brookline.  We had a narrow window for set-up so I didn't take photos, but Lizzie shot this on her iPhone.

And a month later, requests are heavy for white.  I came across a new florabunda rose:  the most exciting discovery in a very sparse offering at the Wholesale Flower Market.

She's called 'snowflake' and resembles the smaller white Majolika, except when she opens, she looks a bit like Sally Homes.  The center is yellow and the blossoms are heavy on a delicate stem and there's a pink blush on some, but not all of the flowers.

And for Rachel at Slow Lane Life, a cameo appearance by ZuZu.

What's the problem getting flowers right now? I would think there'd be a bunch coming from the Southern Hemisphere right now.

The white roses are beautiful.

Ohhh I want this for my wedding next weekend.

Lovely. Seems like all we have right now are tulips.

Where the hell are the coral charm peonies?

The pinks are gorgeous, what a splash of strong color! The white is beautiful too. I can't find decent flowers either, ugh!

The deep pinks are so pretty and whites are delightful! Whites are so pretty at night glowing under the twinkling lights or candlelight. The white rose is just lovely. Quite a find! Thanks for the peak at ZuZu. Smiles...Susan

I love all the reds and the whites--that new rose reminds me of a magnolia for some reason.

Hi Zuzu!

I love snowflaske and it makes a BEAUTIFUL arrangement. Sally Holmes sometimes fdse unattractively as her stamens brown, but this one looks to have a nice tight center!
