Wind in the willows

Sunday's wedding was at The Habitat in Belmont.  If you've never been there, especially in May, I recommend a visit.

There are lovely estates throughout Massachusetts, but the Habitat is particularly magical… probably because it's small in comparison to other estate venues and feels more intimate: more like a home.

Our bride was Molly, who's been following our blog for sometime, and then came to us  to provide her wedding flowers.

I wish I had a photo of her in her gown:  I was tearing up.  She is among the sweetest brides I've known in my career - and lovely too.

The main character of the day was The Wind and there was a threat of showers (which never materialized but had us in a quandry for a while until Molly decreed the wedding would be outdoors no matter what).

Buckets were flying, greens were whooshed off the table (Marisa and Lizzie taped them down) and glasses were breaking:  well, just one glass.

In the end, however, it was a beautiful, sunny, cloudy Spring day.  All the following photos courtesy of our driver, Lee Kennedy.

Event planner was Lauren Wells, caterer Season to Taste.  Hopefully, Fat Orange Cat Studio will share some photos with us.

Lovely bride and wedding. I hope we get to see more pictures! That wreath on the gate is wonderful. I wonder if anyone's done a Wind in the Willows wedding.

Lovely color palette. I don't know this place at all; it looks beautiful. What a pain, though, it was certainly windy that day.
